Polaris live on USA server. Enjoy it!!!!

Venture into Polaris! Get ready to venture into the frozen north of Polaris. Bartleby has fallen ill, and you must seek out the source of his illness before it’s too late! Along the way you’ll meet the Pingouins, currently under the tyrannical rule of Empress Antuskette. Join the Revolution and find the influence that has driven the Empress to such extremes. Ivan the Great, a former circus performer, is your guide as you search for a Wizard powerful enough to help you find the source of the foul magic that has fallen upon Bartleby. Players who have reached level 100 and have completed the Khyrsalis quest “Light and Shadow” need to visit Merle Ambrose to take on the quest “Head of the Class.” Those who have completed the required quest will have the badge “Child of Light and Shadow” in the Khrysalis tab of the Badges screen. For Crowns players, Polaris contains 5 separate Premium Zones, priced at 1995c each. Journey to a New Level Reach New Heights at Level 110 With the addition of Polaris, Wizards can now reach the maximum level of 110* and achieve the title of Prodigious! Training Points will be awarded at level 105 and 110, plus there will be bonus Training Points available through quests in Polaris. With increased levels also comes increased Gold! • For Wizards under level 80 the maximum gold is 300,000 • For Wizards level 80-90 the maximum gold is 350,000 • For Wizards level 91-95 the maximum gold is 375,000 • For Wizards level 96-100 the maximum gold is 400,000 • For Wizards level 101-110 the maximum gold is 450,000 This also means that level 110 Henchmen are available from the Crown Shop. *Please remember, when you were at the previous level maximum of 100 no experience was rewarded for duels and quests completed once you reached level 100. When a player reaches the maximum level, their experience bar disappears, indicating they are not gaining experience from their duels or quests. No experience is rewarded to those who are at the maximum level, which means that everyone who was level 100 before we raised the level cap will be level 100 to start. Now that we have raised the level cap, you can once again start earning new experience points from your adventures. Powerful New Spells Learn New Shadow-Enhanced Spells Continue your magical studies with the ancient scholars of the Arcanum. In October, KingsIsle had the honor of working with the Make-a-Wish organization to grant the wish of an exceptional teen named Daniel who wanted to see how Wizard101 is made. Daniel plays a Necromancer of the same name, currently questing through Zafaria, and enjoys creatively decorating his Amber Estate house. Members of KingsIsle across all departments worked together to make Danny’s visit to the KingsIsle offices one to remember for everyone involved! When Danny and his family arrived in our Austin offices in the morning, they were greeted with a hearty welcome from everyone in the studio. Throughout the day, representatives from many of the different disciplines that work together to make Wizard101, including art, animation, programming, sound and design, showed Danny their work. The community team also got the opportunity to play alongside Danny through part of Polaris, so he could see this new world first hand. Before Danny’s visit, we learned that he is interested in becoming a game designer. This was the perfect opportunity to let Danny try out his skills and design a skeleton key boss for Wizard101! Early in the day, some of the Wizard101 designers sat with Danny to guide him through the process of creating a new boss. He chose the location where the duel would take place as well as the type of monster and minions that players would face off against. Danny had great ideas and took to his role as game designer with ease! He even helped design the cheats for this challenging duel and shared new spell ideas. But what’s a boss duel without awesome rewards? The designers and visual effects artist worked with Danny to create the stats for a unique, new wand and some shiny effects to make it stand out. Next, he moved on to the writer’s room to direct the story and dialogue for this new encounter. One of the most unique aspects of Danny’s boss duel is that his Wizard character is there in game to help players take on this challenge. Once the dialogue text was ready to go, Danny headed over to the sound department to record the voice over for his character’s lines. Danny’s creative ideas truly helped bring Simon the Sayer and his golem minions to life! For Wizards ready to face the challenge of Danny’s creation (and get a chance at earning some unique rewards) visit Sunken City to take on the Stone Skeleton Key Boss, Simon the Sayer! The fun of Danny’s day at KingsIsle didn’t stop with this in-game creation, however. Members of the KingsIsle team used their talents to make one-of-a-kind keepsakes for Danny. These custom gifts included a Ravenwood Graduation Certificate scroll, a poster with artwork of his character, a 3D printed miniature figure of his Wizard and a life sized replica sword to match the one he helped to design in game. It was truly an honor for all of us at KingsIsle to get the opportunity to meet Danny and his family and make this wish come true. Thank you Danny, for sharing your awesome ideas and spirit with all of us! New Bread Crumbs Housing Control the behavior of the pets and mounts in your home with Bread Crumbs. Bread Crumbs are invisible housing objects (only visible in “Place Object” mode) that you place in your home. Each Bread Crumb is automatically numbered when you place it in your house, so that you can distinguish one from another and place them in a sequence. Bread Crumbs can be strung together to create a path for the assigned pets to follow. Click on a Bread Crumb and then choose “Select Next Bread Crumb” to define the sequence you’d like the path to follow. Once you’ve set the path, you can see this indicated with arrows by clicking back on the first one in the sequence. Then select a Bread Crumb to assign any nearby pet or mount to it. Each pet or mount can only be assigned to one Bread Crumb at a time. Click on the “Set Pet Behavior” tab to further customize the actions the pet will take when they reach the selected Bread Crumb. Bread Crumbs can be purchased from the Crown Shop or crafted using a recipe from Jackie Whisperflame in the Wizard City Pet Park. Players can now ride their mount in the interior areas of the Avalon Castle Plot, Serpentine Escape, Midday Estate, Night Garden and Meadows at Dusk houses. Petunia Floribund in Wysteria has new housing items for sale. Rugs will now appear in the Furniture tab of housing items. Additional housing sign options have been added, including: Open, Closed, Epic Fish, Rare Fish, Common Fish, Magical Fish, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday Wizard101 and “Player Name’s” Avalon Castle Plot. An option has been added to the Advanced Gameplay Options screen to hide names on pets placed in your home. Catch of the Day Fishing Earn extra gold when you sell fish with the Catch of the Day! Visit Lucky Hookline in the Commons each day to find out which fish will be featured that day. Each Catch of the Day fish that you sell will earn three times the normal price, plus a daily catching bonus. If you catch a fish when it is Catch of the Day, this bonus increases by 100, with a maximum of 3000 gold per fish! A new fish will be named Catch of the Day each day at midnight US Central time. Fishing Tournaments are a new way to show your skill in Fishing! Each week a fish is selected as that week’s tournament fish, focusing on either small fry or whopper. Visit Lucky Hookline in the Commons to see which fish is the tournament fish for the week. When you catch the required fish type and size for that week’s tournament, a window will appear that will ask if you’d like to enter the fish into the tournament. If you choose to enter the fish, it will be removed from your fish basket and submitted for judging. To see your standings in the Fishing tournament, visit Lucky Hookline and view the Fish Tournament Leaderboard. Standings are based on fish size, with tournaments for small fry fish awarding those that are the smallest, and tournaments for whoppers awarding the largest. At the end of the week, if you placed a fish in the tournament you will receive rewards based on your standing on the leaderboard! And even if your fish doesn’t win a Medal in the Tournament, you’ll get a prize for participation. Players can now fish in the waters of the Acropolis, Massive Fantasy Palace, Serpentine Escape, Winter Wind Tower, Pyramid of the Lost Horizon, Sun Palace, Sultan’s Palace, Midday Estate, Meadows at Dusk, Night Garden, Botanical Gardens and Amber Estate houses. Aquariums in your backpack will now show a list of the fish inside. Spell Changes Treasure Cards and Spells Item cards granted from equipment can now be deactivated, so they will not show up in your hand while in combat. To deactivate cards, go to the Spell Deck Screen and click on the item cards at the bottom of the screen. Once clicked, they will show a red “X” to indicate that they are no longer active. Strong, Keen Eyes, Giant, Accurate, Sniper and Monstrous Treasure Cards are now labeled with the correct Astral magic icon. The Siphon Health pet spell card from the Rude Goblin will now cast from the pet rather than the Wizard. Damage over time and drains spells will now count as damage against Armored Shane Von Shane in order to interrupt the Monster Mash cheat. Shadow pips now cost mana to use, equal to the regular pip cost of the spell. For example, a spell that costs 5 pips plus one Shadow pip will cost 10 mana to cast. Treasure Cards for Age of Reckoning, Astraphobia, Combustion, Counterforce, Katabatic Wind, Namaste and Saga of Heroes are now No Trade and No Auction. Corrected the description on the Efreet spell card to accurately reflect the spell effect. Fixes Galore Miscellaneous The system for calculating Critical and Block has been altered to provide more balance in gameplay. Previously, if a Wizard’s Critical Rating was lower than the opponent’s block rating, they would almost never land a Critical hit against that opponent. The calculation has been altered as follows. When a Wizard casts a spell, the system will calculate a chance for them to achieve a Critical hit with a higher chance to succeed based on their Critical rating. Then the system will calculate a chance for the opponent to Block the Critical hit based on their Block rating. These new calculations will show a reduction in Critical and Block percentages overall. While this means that you may achieve a Critical cast less often than you previously may have, when you do land a Critical hit on an opponent, it is less likely to always be blocked. This should provide more variety in gameplay, and give Wizards the opportunity to continue to improve to level 110 and beyond in the future. As an added benefit to the system, Critical heals will now receive a minor bonus beyond the doubled healing amount. A button has been added to the bottom of the Spell Deck screen that can be used to remove all spells currently in that deck. This button only appears for Wizards level 20 and above. Gear from Shangri-Ba, Barkingham Palace, House of Scales and Darkmoor can now be traded through the shared bank. The badge for completing 100 Way of the Ninja Pig games is now named “Ninja Grandmaster.” Descriptions for the Blooded Battler and Notorious Dueler badges have been updated to reflect the correct number of Tournament wins required to earn them. Defeating Maelstrom Elementals now correctly counts toward Elemental badges. The Merle’s Whisker reagent now has a rank and school icon. The quests “As the Bone Turns,” “Young and the Boneless” and “Bone and the Beautiful” have had their prerequisite requirement changed to the quest “Out of Control.” Minions will no longer respawn after defeating Ghalak Poisontooth for the quest “Cry Havoc.” Eloise Merryweather in Azteca and Khrysalis now has clothing items available to purchase for stitching. The character Torrek in Khrysalis will now have their name referred to consistently. The henchmen Matthias JabTail’s natural attack will now use the death casting animation to match its death damage. Additional phrases related to musical instruments have been added to Menu Chat. Timers to use Home, Hub and Marked Location teleports have been reduced from 60 seconds to 30 seconds. NPCs that accompany players for certain quests will only be visible to the player, not those around them. Various spelling errors throughout the Spiral have been corrected. Fixed an issue that caused players exiting the Bountiful Mine to be in the wrong house. Fixed an issue that prevented seeds from being transferred from the attic to the backpack. Due to popular request, second chance chests have been added to Shangri-Baa, Barkingham Palace, House of Scales, Tartarus and Malistaire in Darkmoor. The second chance chest for the Pendragon will only appear after the boss is defeated. Level 110 items have been added to the Terror’s Hoard Pack. Rockhammer’s Jewel Pack has been updated with Level 100+ Jewels.

Jewel update live on UK server

Enhance Your Gear With Jewels! Players can now add jewels to many of their Amulets, Athames, Rings and Decks! Wizards level 15 and above who have completed the crafting quest “The Razor’s Edge” will need to visit Eloise Merryweather in the Wizard City Commons to take on the quest “Digging Into a New Challenge.” Katherine Rockhammer, in her newly opened shop in the Wizard City Shopping District, will then teach you the ways of Jewel Socketing. You will notice a new button at the bottom of the screen when viewing your Amulets, Athames, Rings and Decks. Select the item you would like to socket and click “Add Jewels.” This will then open the Jewel Socketing screen that will allow you to modify your item. Archytas in Celestia also sells perfect gems. Sockets Items may have up to four sockets, each in one of four shapes: Square, Triangle, Circle or Tear. To socket a Jewel, it must match the shape of the available socket. Select the Jewel you would like to place in the socket and click “Affix.” This will add the Jewel to the item and give the corresponding stat increase associated with the Jewel. Each Jewel has a minimum level requirement and can only be used by Wizards that level or above. Socket Wrenches Some sockets on items may be locked, indicated by a lock icon. These can be unlocked by using Crowns or a Socket Wrench. Socket Wrenches are obtained by defeating bosses throughout the Spiral and come in 5 different types: Novice, Adept, Expert, Master and Artisan. Socket Wrenches can be placed on the walls of your house for display. Jewel Each Jewel can only be placed in a socket once. If you decide later that you’d like to remove the jewel, it will be destroyed. To remove a socketed Jewel, click on the name of the Jewel and choose “Shatter” in the Jewel Socketing window. Once a Jewel has been shattered from a socket, you can place a new Jewel in the empty socket and continually improve your favorite items! Jewel Crafting Jewels can be purchased from vendors, found as rewards from defeating creatures, opening chests, fishing, gardening, or crafted. Jewel recipes can be purchased from vendors throughout the Spiral including: Katherine Rockhammer and Eudora Tangletree in Wizard City, Wul’yahm in Krokotopia, Felicia Worthington in Marleybone, Toshio in Mooshu, Bathazar Dragonthorn in Dragonspyre, Aegeus in Celestia, Marwa Jadetusk in Zafaria, Shane Macgobhann in Avalon, Yaxche in Azteca and Wozina the Edgecutter in Khrysalis. Each Jewel recipe will require a Metal, which you can receive as rewards, a Gem, which you can find or purchase from a vendor, and a Treasure Card. To craft Jewels, you will need to use a Jewel Crafting Station. Crafting Jewels, however, is unlike crafting other items. There is an element of randomness that will affect the final product’s outcome each time. You can craft using the same recipe several times and receive a different result each time! Some rules to note with relation to Jewels and socketed items: Jewels are stored in a new page of your backpack which holds a maximum of 100 Jewels. Selling items with socketed Jewels at the Bazaar will destroy the Jewels within the item. You cannot put jewels into an item that you cannot equip. Jewels can be placed into the shared bank. Items with socketed Jewels cannot be placed in the shared bank. New One-Shot Gauntlets Baddle of the Bands King Thermidor’s reign as King of Rock in the Spiral has been challenged. His former bandmate, Cyn De Lobster wants to seize the throne by having a Baddle of the Bands! Are you the back-up Wizard to help? Tanglewood Terror Mrs. Dowager is in a sticky situation. Something sinister has possessed the vines of Wysteria and turned them against everyone. Worst of all, they’ve taken over using terrible puns! Oh my gourdness! These two new one-shot gauntlets are available in the Crown Shop, and if you thought our Hoard Packs were cool, you’ll love these new adventures! One-shot gauntlets are unique in that they are like a hybrid between Hoard Packs and Housing Gauntlets with some special rules and some considerations on buying them: Like a Hoard Pack, one-shot gauntlets will provide you and three others with a chance at new unique gear, weapons, pets, and a mount. Better than a Hoard Pack, one-shot gauntlets provide you and your guests with adventure and experience (per normal dungeon rules) on the way to the boss. Better than Housing Gauntlets, you can set the difficulty of the adventure that you’d like to undertake before you enter. Just click on the gauntlet housing item while in "Place Object" and click the star icon to select level. The sigil only activates once, and only when the owner starts the adventure. You may use dungeon recall if needed, but be sure to allow yourself time to finish the adventure as the sigil only lights once. Even better, when your adventure is over, you’ll also be left with a cool housing item! If you’d rather not have the housing item, we hear the item is such a tasty treat, you can even feed it to your hungry pets. Cast a Line in Lava! Are you ready to fish for the deadliest catch? Visit Lucky Hookline in the Wizard City Commons if you are ready to up your Fishing game. He will introduce you to his friend Yuri Smokesnare in Dragonspyre who will teach you the ways of fishing in lava, which presents a unique set of challenges. Sentinels are a new tricky type of fish that are out to keep their fellow fishy friends from being caught. You’ll need to use all of the tools at your disposal to outwit the Sentinels! New Fishing spells are available including: Rank 3 Lures for all schools, Winnow spells that scare away all fish except those of a single school, Reveal spells to help you find those Whoppers and Small Fries, and a special spell to help you get rid of those tricky Sentinels. Visit Yuri Smokesnare in the Atheneum and Timor Flamecaster in the Labyrinth to learn these new spells. Yuri Smokesnare in Dragonspyre also has several Lava Aquarium recipes for sale! The Fishing spells window now has a Favorites tab so you have easy access to the spells you use the most. Spells are automatically added to Favorites as you use them, or you can right click to add or remove a spell from your Favorites. You can disable the Spell Favorites option in the Advanced Gameplay Options window. Press the “V” hotkey to open the Fish Basket. The Pharoahmari fish will no longer shy away from players who come near it while in an aquarium. The Fishing level and energy window will remain visible while casting Fishing spells. The viewing angle has been adjusted to help you see your lure better when fishing high above ponds. The badge “Fisher King” is renamed “Fisher Queen” if the character is a girl. Broom will be deactivated while Fishing. Join a Team Visit the new Join a Team kiosk in Wizard City Olde Town to find a group for adventures! Click on the Team Up button in the upper right of your screen to view the Team Up window while waiting for players to join. In addition, a sound effect is now played whenever a player joins or leaves your Team Up team. If you leave an incomplete dungeon after using Team Up, you will have to wait 10 minutes before you can Team Up or use the Join a Team kiosk again. In major dungeons such as Sunken City or Darkmoor, only the first player to abandon their team will receive the 10 minute timer. This timer is removed once the major dungeon is completed. In minor dungeons, such as those with only one battle, the penalty is removed after a single battle. When you leave a dungeon after using the Join a Team kiosk, you will be returned to Olde Town. Players are prevented from playing mini-games while waiting in a queue for Team Up! Two new badges for helping players using Join a Team have been added. Spells are automatically added to Favorites as you use them, or you can right click to add or remove a spell from your Favorites. You can disable the Spell Favorites option in the Advanced Gameplay Options window. Pets The Ninja Piggle is now correctly displayed as a Death school pet. The Red Panda pet now has some bamboo to chew on. An Equip/Unequip Pet button has been added to the bottom center of the Pets page of the Spellbook. The Piranha Hunter pet will now cast its may cast Enfeeble talent, rather than the spell casting from the player. Miscellaneous Badges are now better organized in your Character screen! As you discover a new category of badges, a new icon will appear to show you how many you have collected or have yet to collect. A new row has been added on the Character/Character Statistics screen in the Damage and Resistance sections. This area will show any flat damage or resistance increases that are not based on a percentage. Listen to a musical scroll in the Bazaar before buying by clicking the Preview Music button. Fixed an issue that prevented the “I need more energy” menu chat option from displaying the full text. Musical instruments from the Baddle of the Bands can now be sold at the bazaar. The first time players enter a One-Shot Gauntlet, a warning will appear to clarify that it can only be used once. USA - new pets obtained by mixing

Hello, Today I would like we to talk about 2 pets. You can get them by mixing or at least that are the rumors.
First pet is hybrid per and it is confirmed it can be obtained by mixing. The pet is dragonfly. You can obtain dragonfly by mixing bumble bee and armor dragon or bumble bee and defender dragon. Of course you can hatch with the hybrid pet too. The dragonfly pet is life school pet and gives guiding light card at baby, live trap card at adult and life scarab card at epic. Second pet is Winged Catastrophe. This pet is first generation pet, death school. The rumor is that you can obtain the pet by mixing meow wing and black cat, but it is very hard to get it. The other source is Harrowing Nightmare Pack. This pack was introduced by KingsIsle last year (2014) for first time. The pack is Halloween pack. The pet will be in Harrowing Nightmare Pack during Halloween 2015 at USA server. So this year the players from USA server can try them luck to obtain this little cute pet.
If I get information about other pets obtained by mixing I will update the thread. Have fun!

USA test realm is open!!! I am so excited, so cool things wait there!

New Pet Level!

Jewel Collars and Ultra Pets!

It’s time to bring the bling (to your pets)! Pets level Ancient and above now have access to a Jewel Collar that gives them a Jewel Socket. Customize your pet by socketing a Jewel that gives you the bonus or Pet Talent that you desire!
Are you ready to take your pet to the next level? Pets can now be trained to the next level of Ultra. At the Ultra level, you will be able to socket your pet’s Jewel Collar with an Ultra Level Jewel. Ultra Jewels provide more powerful bonuses and Pet Talents. There are even some exciting new talents only available on Jewels! Also, when your pet reaches Ultra level, you will receive a random Jewel as a reward, so you can socket your pet right away if you wish. You can tell which pets have a Jewel affixed because they will have a Jewel icon next to their name.
Jewel Collars only use new Star shaped Jewels that come with a variety of boosts including Pet Stats, Combat Talents and Derby Talents. Star Jewels can be obtained as rewards from battle, purchased from Lowe Springfield or crafted using the recipes that he has for sale. They can also now be found within the Purreau’s Plentiful Pet Provisions pack!
Socketing your pet’s Jewel Collar works just like socketing your Amulets, Rings, Athames and Decks. For more information on the basics of Jewel Socketing, read the April 2015 Update Notes. Open your Backpack, navigate to your pet and click the “Affix Jewels” button at the bottom of the screen. To remove a currently socketed Jewel, you will need to “Shatter” the Jewel which will destroy it. Each pet only has one Jewel Socket. You cannot affix a Jewel to your Pet that gives a duplicate of a talent the pet already has.
The pet section of your Journal has a new appearance, showing the Jewel you have affixed as well as your pet’s talents. Unlocked talents are now represented at the bottom of the screen. The five circles represent the five rarity levels of talents, from left to right: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra-Rare and Epic. The numbers inside of the circles represent the quantity of this rarity of talent that your pet may potentially unlock. If you prefer the “old” way of viewing your pet’s talents, you can view that screen in the Hatching menu (available to pets Adult and higher only).

Face Off Against Familiar Foes

Challenging Ultra Dungeons

It’s time for a rematch! Some of the most notorious bosses of the Spiral are back and ready for a rumble in new Ultra Dungeons. Face familiar foes including Rattlebones, Krokopatra, Meowiarty and Zeus in new powerful forms for Master, Archmage or Exalted levels. Ultra Dungeons are one-shot gauntlets that can only be used one time. You can receive Ultra Dungeons as rewards from battling bosses or purchase them in the Crown Shop.

These new adventures give a chance for you and three others to get unique gear, new versions of familiar pets, Ultra Seeds, valuable crafting reagents or even a chance at a mount! The sigil on these housing items only activates once, and only when the owner starts the adventure. You may use dungeon recall if needed, but make sure to allow yourself time to finish the adventure as the sigil is only usable once. When the adventure is over, you will be left with a trophy to commemorate your victory!

3rd Age PvP

Welcome to the New Age

A new age of PVP is upon us, Wizards! All current PVP rankings will be reset. Everyone who competed in the 2nd Age of PVP will receive a badge based upon their current rank (at the time of the game update). Visit Diego and Brandon Mistborn for new rewards including new pets and level 100 gear for Exalted Wizards. For fans of practice PVP in their homes, a new combat music player is also available for arena tickets. This new music player allows you to select the music played during PVP in your home. Any music scroll can be placed in the combat music player, but it will only play during a PVP battle.

Gardening Goes Ultra

Shiny New Ultra Seeds

Some familiar garden favorites are getting a shiny new version called Ultra Seeds! For select plants, when you harvest the Elder for the final time, there is a chance that you will receive a new Ultra version of that plant’s seed. When you plant the Ultra seed version, they will grow into a new version that is both easier to care for (with fewer needs and no pests) and gives better rewards, such as rare Treasure Cards and reagents, housing items, Jewels and even pets! Plants grown from Ultra Seeds will have a shiny glow so you can tell them apart from your regular versions.

Storage for Seeds

Gardening

Store seeds in your home with the new Seed Vault housing item! Seed Vaults can be purchased from the Crown Shop or crafted from a recipe available at Toshio in Mooshu. Place the Seed Vault in your house and click on the “Open Seed Vault” button while in the “Place Object” screen. This works similar to music players and aquariums. You can then move seeds from your Backpack to the Seed Vault. The Seed Vault holds up to 100 seeds. You may only place two Seed Vaults in each of your houses, one inside and one outside.
In the Gardening window, multiples of the same type of seed will stack, represented by a number in the bottom right corner. Please note that seeds do not stack in your backpack.

Roger the Shrubber in Avalon has new Plow All and Plant all spells for Wizards with Gardening Rank 15 and above to train.

Gardening Treasure Cards can now be bought and sold at the Bazaar.

The Sword Fern now provides additional types of treasure cards, including the Dragonsblade, as a possible reward.

Quicker Quests

Quests

Defeating Fire Lionesses now applies toward quest goals to defeat Fire Lion Ravagers in quests such as: Fight to Survive, Poisoned Well and Lioness Sleeps Tonight.

The quest Free Mouse requires that you have completed the quest Secret Heart.

It should now be easier to attain quest items for many of the defeat and collect quests in Avalon and Azteca.

Fixed an issue that allowed players to enter battle in the Pagoda Gauntlet before accepting quest goals.

Spell Fixes

Spells

The Mutate Minotaur Treasure Card now properly shows the Sun magic icon.

Multiples of the same dispel from different sources will only be activated one at a time.

Damage boosts will apply to the damage over time effect of the spell Burning Rampage.

The No Auction restriction has been removed from Shadow-Enhanced spell Treasure Cards.

Share Your Houses

Housing

By popular request, houses can now be transferred via the Shared Bank! The Shared Bank can only hold one house at a time and each house can only be moved to the Shared Bank once every 90 days. To retrieve the house from the Shared Bank, the Wizard must have a housing slot available and cannot already have a house of that type. Houses are transferred with all of the objects inside of them.

Houses can’t be placed in the shared bank if:
  • They have mannequins with no-trade equipment on them
  • They have teleporters that take the player to other houses
  • The house is a teleporter destination from another house
  • They have weapons that are no-trade on the walls
  • They have any no-trade housing items
  • They have pets or mounts placed in them
Happy news, housing decorators! The maximum number of items in an area of a house has been increased to 350. You can purchase an additional Bric-a-Brac Elixir to raise the item limit in your house.

There is now a tab for Castle Blocks in the Bank.

The item Round Stone Column has been renamed to Round Stone Stanchion.

Old Man Huehue in Azteca has some stylish new furniture items for sale.

Petunia Floribund has some 'out of this world' wallpaper and flooring for sale.

The Lady’s Favor housing item has had the “Limit 1” removed.

Skeleton Keys can now be removed from the walls of the Sultan’s Palace.

Serpentine Escape has been added to the list of housing sign name options.

Seeds purchased for Crowns are no longer listed as “unavailable” in the housing Item Identifier.

The Wild Wing Axe and Shield will no longer cut into the wall when placed on the wall of a house.

Several new phrases have been added to housing signs including: “Museum,” “Library”, “Tapestries This Way” and PVP related phrases.

Pets in the House and Backpack tabs of the Attic will now appear alphabetized.

Powerful Pets

Pets

Newly placed pets in your house now show rank and pedigree below their name. Pets already placed in your house will need to be picked up and placed down again in order to show the rank and pedigree.

Storm Elf, Bronze Helephant, Myth Imp and Magma Colossus have had their PVP rank purchase requirements lowered.

Begonia Woodworth in Wysteria has some new varieties of pet snacks for sale.

Many existing pets can be obtained through new hybrid hatching combinations! Good luck in the hatchery, Wizards.

The stats on the Brainy Assistant have been raised.

Celestial Fishing

Fishing

Fish (including some new varieties) can now be found swimming around the waters of Celestia!

Players can now use lures while a Fishing utility spell is active.

A Tome of Fishing has been added next to Lucky Hookline in the Wizard City Commons in case you need to refresh your memory of the details in the Fishing Tutorial.

Fish in lava now appear red instead of black.

Craft New Mounts

Crafting

Show your school spirit with an awesome new craftable, school-themed mount! If you’ve completed the quest Into the Clouds, you can visit Khalkos Coppersmith in Aquila for these new recipes. Each recipe requires a Mote of Transport, available only in the new Ultra Dungeons.

Cantares Five Flowers, Gearwise, Balthazar Dragonthorn, Torald Wayfinder, Zellozosia the HomeGlider, Eudora TangleTree and Koyate Ghostmane have new teleport tapestry recipes for you to craft.

Torald Wayfinder in Grizzleheim has new transmute recipes for you to learn!

Balthazar Dragonthorn has a new recipe for a Baddle of the Bands themed music player.

Recipe vendors now display all of the recipes that they sell, with the recipes that you already know shown in grey.

Fixes Galore

Miscellaneous

The maximum number of Treasure Cards that you can have has been increased to 999 from 500!

Previously, Critical Hit and Critical Block percentages were calculated on a per item basis. Now they are calculated from your total rating. This fixes a rounding error in the display. In some cases, your Critical Hit or Critical Block will display slightly differently than it was before, but this should not change your effectiveness in the game.

The Tear shape Socket of the Level 70+ version of the Duelist’s Fatal Razor is now automatically unlocked, to be in line with the other Level versions of the same item.

Youkai and Akuji now have Second Chance Chests.

The Locket of Equality athame has been renamed to Lancet of Equality.

Teleporters in Celestia are now labeled with their location.

Creatures in Winterbane Hall will have descriptions on their natural attacks.

“Darkmoor” has been added to the list of possible Deck names.

Second Chance Chests have been added to Tanglewood Terror and Baddle of the Bands gauntlets.

The Model Watch Tower will display a crafted icon.

If you have either the appearance or stats item equipped when you go to stitch them, the item will remain equipped after stitching.

The Jewel named Dream Shield Onyx will give a Dream Shield card instead of a Death Shield.

Additional Disloyal Knights will no longer appear in the Tomb of the Nameless after you have defeated them.

Additional pet hatching and Jewel Socketing phrases have been added to Menu Chat.

Some items, including several pets, skeleton keys, furniture items and treasure cards have had their Gold sell value raised from zero.

Pitch Black Licorice and Wolfsbane Tea are can no longer be sold at the Bazaar.

Various spelling errors throughout the Spiral have been corrected.

UK Exclusive interview with UK Community Manager piink

Hello,

I would like to introduce you the UK Community Manager piink. She was so nice to find time for interview specially for the readers on this blog.

Thank you piink!

  • Will you tell us more about you? What is your hobby? Do you have pet? What do you do in your free time?
Well, more about me: I am Spanish, from a southern city called Malaga ( and the thing I miss the most is the beach since I live in Germany). I like reading books which is something here in Germany I do more cause of the weather, I love crafting (painting, polymer clay, but I challenge myself every month with something new). When it's sunny I love to spend hours at the park with my dog. She is an adorable Shih Tzu (I'll attach a picture so you all can die in love with her). And besides all this I of course like to go for coffee or shopping with friends and socialize a bit.
  • What is your favorite school? Why?
When I first player Wizard101 I got Ice school assigned. I then tried Storm and Death schools as well but I always go back to Ice. I don't know what makes it so special for me but the fact that I am able to survive in dungeons longer than the people playing with me cause my amount of life and my defenses are higher could be one of the points. I also love the Ice spells, the designs and the animations are really attractive to me so it is hard for me to play with a different school.
  • What is your favorite world? Why?
Before we started with big worlds updates my favorite world was Marleybone. I love the British theme and the characters, how they talk to you with their particular accents and the darkness of the world. It was not as aggressive as Dragonspyre to my eyes as it had the "cute" part but at the same time the music made me want to fight all the time wherever I was going. Right now, I could say that Zafaria is attracting me more but not because of the game itself but because of the culture behind this themed world.
  • Do you have favorite spell?
Even though I said Ice school spells are my favorites, I have to say that the last Life school spell from the 4 Dungeons Update is my all times favorite now. You don't expect this ugly bug popping up from the cutest animation ever which is what made me laugh non stop for minutes the first time I saw it.
  • What is your favorite wizard activity?
I don't have a favorite activity but it goes with time for me. There are months that I am in the mood for gardening, then I get sick of it and start crafting and when I cannot stand it anymore it's fishing. I hate training pets, that I can tell you it's the part that sometimes makes me get really mad. I hatch my pets always with people that have talents I want or I see worth to have ( common sense) but when I reach the point I don't get what I wanted to I cannot stand it anymore and forget about the pets for ages. I do have to completely forget the fail before I try again.
  • How long do you play the game?
I started playing when we opened the Spanish community which was my first Wizard101 community so this September will be my 4th year.
  • Do you have favorite dungeon?
Mmmm, not really. I have favorite people to play with but not dungeons :P.
  • What do you think about the game?
This is a very general question really hard to reply. Of course in my opinion this is a game that has all aspects a game needs to be cool, it gives you many options, if you don't like pets, you might like gardening. If you don't, you might like fishing. If you like crafting you have many choices to gather reagents so it does not force you to make just one thing. If you just finished with the content, you probably don't have the best gear so all this makes this game be one of those where it is worth to spend time in. It is never done, this is not a match you finish, close and it's over and this is something I really love from Wizard101. There is nothing bad I can say about this game nor explain with better words.
  • Do you prepare summer surprises for the players?
I am the one preparing special gifts, yes BUT I cannot tell you if there will be summer surprises or any other surprises because they are surprises :)
  • Can you please tell us a bit more what can we expect to happen to the end of the year?
For sure a bunch of events are ready and scheduled, this part of the content plan is what I mostly try to get ready sorting out school weeks, Lost pages, Five boxes and another fishing event that will come soon :P . Also the anniversary will be celebrated in September for all the EU communities and I am already working on cool stuff to have fun with. For the updates, there is already a new version in US with the jewels system ( who did not check the patch notes can do it in their website where they put the info about the last test realm) that we will do out best to bring it here before the end of the year. If there is more to come I cannot tell :).
  • What do you want advice the players?
For me the most important thing is the respect. As long as we all respect each other and express our opinion being honest and fair nothing else matters. I personally do accept critics as long as they do not contain insults and I use them to improve myself. Each players space is also important for me. I really hate when the privacy or the freedom of a player is damaged so my request for everybody here would be to please try to keep the community in a nice enviroment as we do have already a bunch of politic and economic wars around the world, there is no need to spread madness and rage where people come to enjoy their time.Let's keep the place where we come to have fun a fun place.
  • Do you want tell something to the players?
Thank you very much to all of you who make this a fantastic community to work with. I love your feedback, your dedication to the game and I appreciate the time you spend making this a great place to be part of. You guys rock!
